Launching 2026

Some of the work has to stay with a person.Which part, and why, is a question with an answer.

Most roles change rather than disappear. What stays with a person stays for a reason: legal, accountable, relational or situated. Each of those reasons is testable, and each has a different lifespan. For some roles the honest answer is that nothing stays.

The method

Tasks are tested against seven classes of reason a person is required, not assumed to need one. Everything else is design space.

01DecomposeRoles into tasks, and tasks into four stages: acquire, analyse, decide, act.
02TestEach task against seven anchor classes. Anchor, no anchor, or contested.
03DateEach anchor classed structural, contingent or technical, with a review date.
04DesignThe role rebuilt around the structural anchors that survive. The rest goes to the automation register.
05VerifyThe person holding the retained work assessed as competent to hold it, including whether their oversight is real.

Why it is built this way

Human oversight is required by law and standards, and the evidence shows it often fails in practice. So it has to be engineered and verified, not assumed.

The strongest anchors are legal, not cognitive.Statutory appointments, attributable liability and consultation obligations do not change when a model improves.
Anchors are removed two ways.Capability erosion is visible and slow. Removal by redesign is quiet and fast. We watch both.
A person signing off is not oversight.Oversight needs competence, time and the standing to say no. We check for all three.
